Benefits of Playing the Piano The piano was invented at the end of the 17th century. Throughout the 18th and 19th centuries, pianos were commonly found in the homes of the extremely wealthy. After the invention of the keyboard in the early 20th century, pianos and keyboards alike are easily found in many homes across America. For this reason, piano playing is now a common pass time for most people. Playing the piano is a fine hobby because it is relaxing, exercises the mind, and is good for one’s self-esteem.
Playing the piano helps with improving one’s mood. In fact, research reveals that people who do play an instrument on a daily basis experience less loneliness, anxiety, and depression. It also has a very uplifting effect on one’s soul. The light and airy tone of music on the piano brings off pleasure. The sound is very pleasurable to the ear. Playing the piano is also a very soothing activity and can relieve stress in most people. Music in general has therapeutic effects such as reducing anxiety and lowering blood pressure.
New studies have shown that after nine months of weekly training in piano, students’ IQs rose nearly three points more than their fellow untrained classmates. Music training helps exercise parts of the brain that have to deal with mathematics, memorization, and other intellectual pursuits. Instead of someone sitting around all day, they could invest their time in playing the piano, as to keep their mind active. Because of the usual increase in IQ for regular piano players, these people tend to have higher test scores and a larger vocabulary.
Not only do piano players have a larger vocabulary and are generally relaxed people, they also have a very established self-esteem. Piano lessons aid in raising one’s self esteem because of the fact that this instrument isn’t as easy to pick up, mastering a song on the piano requires lots of time and dedication. Also showcasing this talent gives someone bragging rights…
Life May Not Be As You Wish After High SchoolPeople always have some wishes for the future. Some of them try to plan their futures, some don’t, and there are some people try to plan their future, but the life takes them to another future. For instance, I had some ideas for the future, when I was in high school, but my life has had three phases after high school.
In Turkey, there is an examination for students, who want to go to university after high school. So that, students make a choice between sections in high school, because the scoring is made according to their sections. Because of that reason, my parents asked me to be an engineer, and sent me to a science high school. Although, I was not a hardworking student, I passed the examination, and went to Systems Engineering in Yeditepe University. The courses were very hard for a student like me, who do not like to study too much, and so I was not able to pass lots of the classes. Although it had been 4 years, I had not passed the classes, so I decided to enroll in online university, and work in the restaurant-clubs, at the same time.
It has been always my dream to have a restaurant-club for years, so I left the university to work in restaurant-clubs to learn everything about managing, for the future. Therefore, in 2005, I started working in my first nightclub, and also enrolled in online university. As I like my job very much, I could not study for the exams and I did not take some of the exams. After a while, I started working with a managing group in another restaurant-club. After the winter season, a beach club was opened under our management in the summer of 2006. At the end of the summer, I decided to set up an organization company, and I had worked in a nightclub and in my company for three years, but the income of the company was not good so I closed the company. After a time, I left the nightclub and the online university, and decided to go to US to complete my education.
I have come to US in…

MAHATMA GANDHI AS MY IDEAL OF LIFE
Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi was born on October 2, 1869 in Porbandar, India. He became one of the most respected spiritual and political leaders of the 1900’s. Gandhi is honored by his people as the father of the Indian Nation. The Indian people called Gandhi Mahatma, meaning Great Soul. The wind of change brought about by this formidable leader has touched every aspect of India’s citizen’s life. The underlying principle in Gandhi’s principle base on www.wikipedia.com is truth , nonviolence , vegetarianism , brahmacharya , simplicity and faith. Gandhi dedicated his life to the wider purpose of discovering truth, or Satya. Gandhi summarized his beliefs first when he said “God is Truth”. He would later change this statement to “Truth is God”. Thus, truth (Satya) in Gandhi’s philosophy is “God”. Mahatama Gandhi with a great deal of success he introduced a method of non-violence in the Indian struggle for basic human rights. The idea of vegetarianism is deeply ingrained in Hindu and Jain traditions in India, and, in his native land of Gujarat, most Hindus were vegetarian and so are all Jains. The Gandhi family was no exception. In bramacharya principle, Gandhi saw brahmacharya as a means of becoming close with God and as a primary foundation for self realization. Gandhi earnestly believed that a person involved in social service should lead a simple life which he thought could lead to Brahmacharya. So that He called it “reducing himself to zero”. I Faith in God am, according to Gandhi, the foundation of all moral values. He never defined God and was prepared to allow every person to have his own idea of God.
Based on http://mkgandhi.org./main.html Gandhi’s philosophy divided into 7 parts. That is search for truth, trust in god, no secrecy, guidance, self sacrifice, no defeatism and trust. According to Mahatma Gandhi quote on search for truth is, “I am but a seeker after Truth. I claim to have found a way to it.” He…
Shakespeare’s tragedy Hamlet has one outstanding character, namely the protagonist Hamlet. His character is so complex that this essay will scarcely present an adequate portrayal of his character. John Russell Brown in “Soliloquies and Other Wordplay Let the Audience Share Some of Hamlet’s Thoughts” explains the interplay of dialogue, soliloquies and narrative in Hamlet’s role: By any reckoning Hamlet is one of the most complex of Shakespeare’s characters, and a series of soliloquies is only one of the means which encourage the audience to enter imaginatively into his very personal and frightening predicament. The play’s narrative is handled so that a prolonged two-way chase is sustained between him and the king, during which the audience knows more than either one of them and so thinks ahead and anticipates events. In interplay with Rosencrantz, Guildenstern and Polonius, and perhaps with Claudius, Gertrude and Ophelia, Hamlet has asides to draw attention to what dialogue cannot express(55-56). Marchette Chute describes the opening scene of the drama: “For two nights in succession, just as the bell strikes the hour of one, a ghost has appeared on the battlements, a figure dressed in complete armor and with a face like that of the dead king of Denmark, Hamlet’s father. [. . .] The hour comes, and the ghost walks” (35). Horatio and Marcellus exit the ramparts of Elsinore intending to enlist the aid of Hamlet. There is a social gathering of the court, where Claudius pays tribute to the memory of his deceased brother, the former king, and then conducts some items of business. Hamlet is there dressed in black, the color of mourning, for his deceased father. His first words say that Claudius is “A little more than kin and less than kind,” indicating a dissimilarity in values between the new king and himself. Even before the apparition of the ghost, Hamlet has a very sour relationship with his uncle and stepfather, Claudius. Marchette…
Everyone gets an experience of high school, although it’s compeletely different. Some of them felt that it was wonderful, some of them thought it was miserable, and some of them just doing time. Going back to memorize my high school experience, even if it’s long time ago, I still remember vividly and I will not forget it forever. That’s the best time for me in my whole life, although there’s not always about happiness.
I’d like to introduce the basic situation when I was in high school. There were approximately 35 students in my class, and our classroom was settled, we didn’t need to change room for different class. We went to school five days in a week and we had seven classes in single day, each class took us forty-five minutes, from 8:00 am to 3:45 pm. We had to pay for all of our textbooks and we had a lot of mandatory to obey, such as dressing, hairstyle etc. Every Monday we had to gather on the playground to watch the flag-raising ceremony with dressing the uniforms, meanwhile we were singing the Chinese Anthem. Every Thursday the last class in the afternoon, we had extra-curricular activities, all of the classes were interesting, we can choose any one that we liked.
In China, every student need to spend three years in their school, and without expection for everyone, the third year of high school was the hardest and most stessful one. Because we had to do our best to prepare the final exam for getting a permission to the best university. Our parents took good care of us about everything, they didn’t let us do anything except study and told us to study again and again. Our teachers made us do various exams every class, that made us no time to take a deep breath. Everyday we had been through these different kind of pressure from our parents and teachers, even though all of them were for our benefits, sometimes the more pressure they gave, the less progress we got, we couldn’t handle it, we just got the opposite consequence that we didn’t want. We were…

Revolution of Video Games
Video games, believe it or not, serve as a beneficial social and psychological effect on teens and children. There have been many discussions and conflicts that say that video games influence children in a negative way. It is impossible to say that violent video games do not negatively influence children because they do, but it is possible to say that some video games do have a positive influence on children. Even though many parents might disagree with this statement, there is specific evidence that shows how video games, positively affect children. Therefore, video games that are commonly seen as an activity that hurts children’s brains are actually a very helpful resource for children because with new motion technology, kids are able to stay fit, discipline themselves, and have fun with inexpensive consoles.
When kids are young they need someone to guide them in the right direction, especially when it comes to video games. There have been false rumors that say that children begin to fail in school if they play video games but there is specific evidence that debunks this theory. First of all, video games are an incentive for children to finish their homework if the correct rules are setup; meaning that children are not allowed to play for more than a certain amount of time and that parents are aware of how much time they play. Another reason is because many schools have been noticing ho well children participate when they play video games and as the Time article says, “Schools are now beginning to use video games” (Times Article). Many people disagree just because many parents don’t know how to discipline their children on how to play and just let them play all day long. If parents would make an effort to really take the perspective of a child they might see how joyful it is to play a video game. According to Mike Masnick’s studies they show that “43% of parents with…
In today’s society more and more businesses are choosing the path of e-commerce due to its many advantages such as breaking barriers like time, language and location. While e-commerce may seem like a paradise in which an organization can do business safely, the reality is very much different. The constant threat of hackers that can attack and compromise the security of your company’s or client’s information is at all-time high. The Wikipedia online encyclopedia defines Information security as “the practice of defending information from unauthorized access, use, disclosure, disruption, modification, perusal, inspection, recording or destruction“. At first sight of the problem one would think that your organization’s information would be more secure if you handle security all on your own but the reality is that hackers are increasingly improving the way in which they can be successful and this is perhaps the leading cause for businesses to make the decision to outsource their security because the organization itself perhaps is not capable enough to stop all attacks.
The decision of outsourcing security is one of the most important for your organization but this is not just a yes or no type of decision. An organization first has to determine what areas are most in treat and exactly how much power is the organization willing to give other companies in regards to your information. Certainly it would make an organization feel more secure knowing that other professionals whose primary focus is on your organization’s security but at the end of the day some parts are better to stay within the organization. To begin the exploration of determining whether your organization needs to outsource is it always good to start with a scope that defines what is expected, as a thorough understanding of what is needed to satisfy the organization’s needs, will come in handy when the cost/benefit analysis takes place.
Another aspect in regards to outsourcing security being able…

In technology, economics, and the politics of nations, wealth — in the form of physical resources — has been losing value and significance. The powers of mind are everywhere ascendant over the brute force of things. In a First Wave economy, land and farm labor are the main “factors of production.” In a Second Wave economy, the land remains valuable while the “labor” becomes massified around machines and larger industries. In a Third Wave economy, the central resource — a single word broadly encompassing data, information, images, symbols, culture, ideology, and values — is actionable knowledge. The industrial age is not fully over. In fact, classic Second Wave sectors (oil, steel, auto-production) have learned how to benefit from Third Wave technological breakthroughs — just as the First Wave’s agricultural productivity benefited exponentially from the Second Wave’s…
