Step-by-Step Overview
The publication process at IJIV is designed to be transparent and efficient. Here’s a breakdown of how your submission will be handled:
1. Initial Screening
After submission, the editorial team will perform an initial review to determine whether the manuscript fits the scope and quality standards of IJIV. If your paper is suitable, it will move to the next stage.
2. Peer Review
Your manuscript will undergo a double-blind peer review process, ensuring impartiality. Reviewers will assess your paper on several criteria, including:
- Originality and significance of the research
- Methodological rigor
- Clarity of writing
- Contribution to the field
3. Revisions (if necessary)
If reviewers suggest revisions, you’ll be asked to revise your manuscript and resubmit it. We encourage constructive revisions that improve the quality and impact of your work.
4. Final Decision
After revisions, the editorial team will make a final decision:
- Accepted for Publication: Your manuscript will be scheduled for the next issue.
- Minor Revisions: Your paper will be accepted once the necessary changes are made.
- Major Revisions: Substantial revisions are required before reconsidering for publication.
- Rejected: If the manuscript is not a fit, it will be returned with feedback.
5. Publication and Open Access
Once accepted, your paper will be published online and be freely accessible to readers worldwide. IJIV ensures that all published research is indexed in major academic databases, improving visibility and impact.
Article Processing Charges (APC)
What Are APCs?
The International Journal of Interdisciplinary Viewpoints (IJIV) operates on an open-access model, meaning all published articles are freely available to anyone with internet access. To support this model, we charge an Article Processing Charge (APC) for accepted manuscripts.
APC Fees
- Standard APC: $50 USD (International), ₱2, 500 (Philippines)
- Discounted APC: Available for authors from low-income countries or those facing financial constraints.
- Fee Waivers: Special waivers can be granted on a case-by-case basis. Please contact us before submitting to inquire about eligibility.
Why Are There APCs?
The APC helps cover the costs of editorial processing, peer review, typesetting, and hosting the journal’s online platform. By paying the APC, you ensure that your research is open-access, meaning it can be freely read, shared, and cited worldwide.
